Alcoa Hosts Veteran Career and Networking Event in Pittsburgh, PA

On Thursday January 24th, Alcoa hosted a networking event and veteran career discussion at the Alcoa Corporate Center. More than 30 ACP participants gathered for a discussion and Q&A session. Featured speakers included Al Mercer (Executive Director of the Veteran Leadership Program), Mark Messina (Alcoa Mentor and Commander of VFW Post 1437), Gene Bradshaw (HR Consultant at Verizon Wireless) and Kelly Bronson (University Relations and Military Recruiting Manager at Alcoa). A special thanks to ACP Mentor Steve Snyder of Alcoa for coordinating the event!

Veteran Protege Joe Grant, US Marine Corps (Ret.) said, "The ACP event last night at Alcoa Corporate Center was awesome. Talent/HR folks from Verizon and Alcoa gave some good tips and the exchange amongst all the participants was energizing and very helpful...I did some good networking and also exchanged some ideas and frustrations with fellow veterans of all ranks and services. Great stuff!"
