ACP Presents: Credit Confidence 101 with Citizens

On September 9th, ACP hosted the third session in our financial education series with Citizens. Presented through the Citizens Money Essentials program, the session broke down the essentials of understanding, building, and maintaining healthy credit. Alejandro Restrepo, Vice President and Retail Regional Manager and Veterans BRG Community Pillar Lead at Citizens, explained how credit scores are calculated, what affects them, and how to use credit responsibly. Attendees learned strategies to establish or rebuild credit, manage credit card use, and spot common credit pitfalls. Whether participants were establishing credit post-service, planning for a big move, or looking to strengthen their financial foundation, this session helped them feel more confident navigating the credit system.
