ACP’s Career Blueprint: How a Mentor Can Help You Avoid These Common Mistakes

On March 2nd, ACP conducted a free inside look at the benefits of becoming an ACP protege and mentor. They highlighted the importance of maximizing your time when transitioning out of the military or making a big career move. A mentor can provide you with a unique perspective to help navigate your next steps. ACP provides a customized 1-on-1 mentorship to help tackle common struggles such as optimizing resumes, improving interview skills, translating military experience into civilian terms, and building a network of professionals.

Our panelists this week were Jennifer Williams, Communications Manager at ACP| Veteran, Leslie Coffey, Vice President of Military Engagement at ACP | Military Spouse, and Feyzan Dalay, Engineering & Technology Ethics Officer for Lockheed Martin | ACP Mentor. They discussed their own experiences with having unique perspectives on why mentorship matters and how mentors and proteges can both maximize their ACP experience. The event concluded with a live Q&A session with the virtual audience.
