General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt Encourages Americans to Join ACP AdvisorNet

American Corporate Partners (ACP), a national nonprofit organization that connects post-9/11 veterans to business professionals for career guidance, is happy to announce the launch of its new television public service announcement featuring Chairman and CEO of General Electric, Jeff Immelt.

ACP’s online mentoring program ACP AdvisorNet (acp-advisornet.org) – is a free, online “quick question community” connecting returning veterans to the private sector workforce. By joining ACP AdvisorNet, Americans can volunteer their time – from their homes, laptops or mobile devices – to share career advice with transitioning veterans even for just a few minutes a week. ACP AdvisorNet is a fully funded non-profit endeavor and does not seek donations. Its aim is to encourage a dialogue whereby Americans can offer career advice to those who have served.

In the PSA, Immelt explains, “ACP AdvisorNet gives professionals a chance to interact with veterans by reaching out, going online and engaging and sharing your experience and expertise — because their service, deserves our service.” The 30-second spot will begin airing in the weeks ahead.
