ACP Presents: Careers at Verizon - Cybersecurity
On July 6th, Verizon joined ACP in hosting a cybersecurity focused webinar for ACP proteges interested in careers at Verizon. As a global leader in communications technology, Verizon aspires to be the most sought-after place to work for transitioning veterans. Headquartered in New York City and with a significant international presence, Verizon is the world's largest provider of print and online directory information. The event hosted four speakers discussing the divisions of cybersecurity and military engagement and hiring initiatives at Verizon.Speakers Victoria German, Senior Manager for Cyber Defense Strategic Planning and Execution, Kaiti Davis, Security Specialist - Security Risk Management, and Rebecca Newman-Mahoney, Senior Manager Network Cybersecurity Center, spoke at length about their experiences at Verizon and how they have grown their careers. Michael McCoy, Manager of Military Recruitment and Programs, also took a deep dive into how veterans can utilize their unique experience and background to gain meaningful employment and jumpstart their careers in the civilian sector with a career at Verizon. The event concluded with a live Q&A session and Verizon speakers provided their LinkedIn and email information to further connect with the ACP community.
