A first-generation Mexican-American, Damian expected his career to follow a traditional path to success. He began his English degree at DePaul University, but soon found himself drawn to service and signed a four-year contract with the U.S. Air Force.
After separating from the Marine Corps in 2022, Obrian wasn’t sure how his experience as a construction engineer would translate to a fulfilling civilian career. With a short-term goal of a reliable day gig, Obrian also dreamed of opening his own RV park.
