Lizann's journey began when she started dating her Marine husband as a teenager, and from that point forward, she embarked on a rollercoaster ride that included multiple Permanent Change of Station (PCS) relocations, enduring seven deployments, and managing extended periods of solo parenting. A first-generation Mexican-American, Damian expected his career to follow a traditional path to success. He began his English degree at DePaul University, but soon found himself drawn to service and signed a four-year contract with the U.S. Air Force.
