
John P. Langan
John P. Langan is a nationally recognized nonprofit expert and retired executive who has dedicated over 30 years to championing the causes of local, national, and global organizations. After a long and distinguished career at CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen), where he most recently served as a Strategic Project Leader, John now focuses his expertise on strategic board service and community leadership. During his tenure at CLA, he oversaw high-impact initiatives including acquisition onboarding and integration, strategic planning for the CLA Foundation, and firm-wide listening sessions. His leadership legacy at the firm is marked by his service as Chief Industry Officer, CLA Board Chair, and Executive Sponsor of the Military Connections & Abilities Virtual Belonging Communities. As the founder of his predecessor firm, Langan Associates, PC, John established a unique “toolkit” of audit, accounting, tax, and consultancy services specifically designed to synergistically nurture the growth of nonprofit entities.
Beyond his professional practice, John is deeply committed to civic engagement and has held numerous significant leadership roles. He has served as the long-standing Treasurer for both the Pentagon Memorial Fund and the Dunbar Alexandria Olympic Boys & Girls Club, and he continues to contribute his expertise as a Trustee and Audit Committee Chair at Lynn University. His extensive service history also includes chairing the Finance & Administration Section Council at the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and contributing to the Nonprofit and Managing Partner committees at the Greater Washington Society of CPAs. A passionate mentor through American Corporate Partners and a member of the FDR Memorial Legacy Committee, John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University and an Associate’s degree from Lynn University.
