Colleen Deere

Vice Chairwoman

Colleen Deere is currently the Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of ACP. She began her career with ACP in 2010 as an Operations Associate, working on every aspect of the organization – from program growth, to corporate relations, fundraising, personnel, financial management, media relations and more. From 2017 to 2022, Colleen served as ACP’s first Executive Director, and now she continues her impact at ACP as part of the senior management team.

Colleen graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a B.S. in Business Administration and English, and later obtained an M.A. in English, Composition and Rhetoric from Kansas State University as well as a graduate level certificate in professional communication.

Colleen is the proud spouse of Army veteran, Steve Deere. Steve served with the 1st Infantry Division stationed out of Ft. Riley, Kansas and he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008-2009. Steve is a proud ACP Alum, and is now an ACP Mentor.

Colleen and Steve live on Long Island, NY and are parents to three young children. As a family, they are involved in raising money and volunteering their time with nonprofits and charities such as Tuesday’s Children, Macie’s Mission, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Regional Catholic School.
