On October 6th, ACP hosted an interactive career navigation workshop with RTX, a major American multinational aerospace and defense conglomerate, including three primary business units: Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon. The workshop was designed to help Service Members, Veterans, and Military Spouses successfully navigate the corporate hiring process and translate their unique experiences into competitive career opportunities.
The session featured Gary Halstead Jr., TA Program Manager at RTX, and Ricky Morrison, RTX Military & Veterans Program Manager. They provided an overview of RTX’s business units and shared practical guidance on tailoring résumés, translating military experience into civilian terms, understanding reasonable accommodations, and Veteran self-identification during the application process.
Attendees gained strategies for aligning their qualifications with job postings, increasing recruiter visibility, and positioning themselves for long-term career success within RTX.
