ACP Presents: Fighting Financial Crime with Veteran Leadership

September 1, 2026

On September 1st, ACP hosted a discussion with HSBC, one of the world’s leading international banking and financial services organizations, focused on career opportunities, workplace culture, and supporting Veterans and Active-Duty Military Spouses. The session highlighted HSBC’s commitment to building an inclusive workforce and creating pathways for military-connected professionals.

The discussion featured Nick Schumann (US Head of Financial Crime Strategy & Framework, Senior Vice President, and Major in the US Army Reserves) and Corey Powder (Vice President, Relationship Office Manager, Private Banking), who shared insights from their experiences at HSBC in compliance and finance.

Attendees gained valuable perspective on starting a career in the financial services industry, navigating professional opportunities, and understanding HSBC’s workplace culture. The speakers also offered insight into how military experience can translate into success in the corporate environment.
