Lori B. Feinsilver
Lori B. Feinsilver is head of Community Affairs & Corporate Responsibility and Executive Communications for UBS Group Americas. She also leads the UBS Foundation USA, and is a member of the firm’s Global Community Affairs Working Group.
Since 2011, Ms. Feinsilver has led a strategic overhaul of UBS's philanthropic and corporate giving platform in the Americas, creating a more cohesive and impact-driven organization while establishing a culture of service among the region's 20,000 employees. Today, Ms. Feinsilver and her team are responsible for all grant making, partnerships with national nonprofit organizations, ongoing dialogues with community stakeholders, and employee engagement and volunteering programs. Under her leadership, the firm has launched flagship initiatives within its focus areas of education and entrepreneurship: UBS NextGen Leaders, a $10 million, five-year commitment to enabling college success among under-resourced populations, and UBS Elevating Entrepreneurs, an acclaimed pro bono mentoring program that connects high-potential small business owners with expertise and resources needed to grow their companies. UBS's community-based efforts have garnered national media coverage in outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Crain’s and Nightly Business Report.
Ms. Feinsilver is also responsible for managing all communications activities for the CEO of UBS Group Americas and his leadership team. Prior to joining UBS, Ms. Feinsilver enjoyed a 10-year career at Merrill Lynch where she held a number of leadership positions within communications and marketing. Most recently, she was head of communications for Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management and a member of the U.S. Wealth Management and Private Banking & Investment Group Operating Committees. When the firm was acquired by Bank of America in 2008, Ms. Feinsilver assumed the additional role of communication lead for the wealth management integration, responsible for developing and distributing new policies, procedures, key messages and materials to more than 34,000 employees nationwide. Previously, Ms. Feinsilver spent five years as a speechwriter for the chairman & CEO of Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. She began her career in 2000 as a communications specialist in the asset management business.
