On Wednesday November 9th, New York City-based Alcoa Mentors and Proteges attended the IAVA Heroes Gala, held at Cipriani in Midtown Manhattan. Attendees were welcomed by Master of Ceremonies Brian Williams and treated to a performance by singer-songwriter Norah Jones. IAVA presented awards to Marine Corporal Aaron Mankin, as well as to Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert. Alcoa Mentors and Proteges were able to enjoy an evening of camaraderie with other veterans as well as mingle with other corporate professionals.
