ACP congratulates ACP Protégé, Kelsey Campbell, for completing her Masters degree from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs in May 2011. Kelsey, a former Non-Commissioned Officer in the US Air Force, was matched with Sheryl Wragg, an ACP E-Mentor from General Dynamics, in July 2010. Sheryl has worked with Kelsey on her resume and in developing her overall career goals over the past year. Beyond topics of professional development, Kelsey and Sheryl have become close friends. Sheryl traveled with her family to NYC from Michigan to attend Kelsey's commencement ceremony.

Kelsey says, "It has been nice to have Sheryl as a corporate Mentor because like myself, she has spent a majority of her career working in a male-dominated environment. She has not only survived as a woman in the civilian defense sector, but has excelled. Due to her mastery of Arabic language, she was one of the first American women to conduct international business in the Middle East.

"On a personal level, it has been nice having Sheryl's support and encouragement, especially since my own mother passed away when I was a teenager. It is important to have female role models and someone to turn to for advice on how to navigate the civilian job world."

Kelsey has been appointed as a Presidential Management Fellow, beginning a position in the Office of the Secretary of Defense as a foreign affairs specialist in September.
